We stayed at the Beach House for 4 nights and it was amazing. Alex was a great host for our stay and provided a lot of great stories and advise on things to do around the island. We loved kayaking to the blue water holes and around the islands. There is a resort next door that is a 5-10 minute walk, which serves good drinks and food! I would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking to get away to a beautiful hidden spot on the coast of Santo - this was our favourite spot in Vanuatu!

We had a beautiful stay at turtle cottage! Place was clean and the location was beautiful! Nice and quiet too! Great for relaxing :)
Taylor Tirahardjo - Feb 2018
We had a wonderful stay at the Beach Cottage. Best part of this property is the fact that the ocean is literally on your doorstep and you have kayaks and SUP-boards you can use. We went out with kayaks almost every day and enjoyed it so much! Alex and Willie took good care of us and organised some great daytrips. Hoping to be able to go back one day! Thanks again Alex!

This property is simply amazing! We were 2 families staying and it has something for everybody. Amazing views, plenty of snorkelling gear, lots of Kayaks, hot showers, a well equipped kitchen. Too much to list. It is nicely situated out of town but close to the resort next door so you don’t have to cook if you don’t feel like it. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back.
Tracy McVicker - April 2018
“We spent 12 nights at the turtle cottage and could easily have stayed longer! The lagoon is gorgeous and we saw spotted eagle rays and turtles most days. We kayaked to a few islands for snorkelling in pristine blue water and each night relaxed on our verandah watching the sunset over the water! The blender was perfect for making fresh fruit cocktails! Thankyou Tracey and Alex for a relaxing break away from the real world!”

“A fantastic little place out of the main town which was exactly what we wanted. There is a heap of water sports gear there which is free to use and the setting right on the edge of the bay is beautiful! Willie the manager is super friendly and is willing to help out in anyway plus the is a wealth of information. You won’t regret your stay!”

“This place is truly amazing! Our family stayed in the main house which was a home away from home and then some. Everything you need is there. The kitchen facilities are fantastic allowing you to cook everything you would normally do at home. The large fridge freezer allowed us to stock up for the week which was helpful with town being a wee ways away. With kayaks movies music and all sorts of entertainment thought of there is something for the hot days and the cloudy rainy days. Having Tracy there while we stayed was great as she was a wealth of help and she even baked for us!! The bay is amazing. We would kayak over to the lodge for a daily beer/coffee/milkshake which was easy and also did a mad adventure to one of the blue holes. I can't rave about this place enough. The kids loved it and hubby and i loved it even more. Thanks for the amazing stay. We look forward to doing it again in the future.”

“This is an absolutely amazing place to stay, the pictures cannot do it enough justice. This is the best place to experience Santo from, truly is paradise”

Simply Stunning! My family and I have been living in Vanuatu for a little over 3 months now and we are constantly wowed by the stunning locations this country has to offer. The east coast of Santo is a must for all visitors to Vanuatu. To top off our weekend getaway from Vila to Santo we stayed here. Usually when you see the photos online you always expect a little let down as photography is designed to enhance everything. I can honestly say that the photos dont do this place justice! Tracy and Alex have done an amazing job and the location is simply stunning. We genuinely had one of the best days I can recall as a family just hanging out, kayaking around the bay, swimming on deserted beaches, SUPing with the kids and climbing the big tree next to the property. A big thank you to Willie also for all our transport needs. We will definately be returning.

Unbelievable, fantastic. Great getaway! Spacious modern cottages with magnificent views over turtle bay. Cooking facilities both in the cottage and outdoors on the deck over the water. Hammocks and lounges for relaxing in the sun during the day as well as kayaks and stand-up paddle boards for something to do. Also provided are snorkeling gear, board games, and washing machine. Driver is on call to take you into town (or anywhere else), and will also help arrange other activities for you. Very close to beautiful blue holes and not far up the road to the major east-coast attractions (champagne beach, port olry). Not too far out of town either. Amazingly easy paddle across the bay to Turtle Bay resort if you don't feel like cooking for yourself. Too many good things to mention - definitely a highlight of our Vanuatu trip, will be remembered for a lifetime!

We stayed here for 4 nights in May. We booked the 2 bedroom house plus one of the studios for another adult. Our itinerary to Vanuatu was thrown in disarray by the cyclone with domestic flights being cancelled however the owners were very understanding and helpful with our booking. When we could finally rebook our flights from Port Vila to Santo, the Villa was beautifully prepared for us (even though the weather the day before had been atrocious). The gardens were amazing and the location superb, right on the water with a great jetty over the sea. There were extensive water sports equipment available to us and I really enjoyed the early morning stand up paddle board. The manager, Liz, lived on a yacht moored out the front and she went through all the details upon arrival and checked on us throughout our stay. The house was well built and provided all the facilities you could need. We loved relaxing in every area of the property, on the verandah, jetty, hammock etc. We cooked several meals on site utilising the BBQ. We enjoyed feeding the fish off the jetty and taking the kayaks out on low tide to the snorkelling area out from Turtle Bay Resort (look for the post in the ground and you will find the trench). The information booklet (which is also on line) was very extensive and gave great information about the local area. We enjoyed a meal at Turtle Bay Resort, great pizza and dessert and then cocktails sitting under the coloured lights enjoying the company of their dogs! Watch for the sunsets out the back with the coconut palms and then the beautiful moon rise over Malvanua Island. I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty that is Santo. Definitely one of our favourite places.

Thanks goes to the excellent team that are running the Beach house and cottage - this property was above and beyond what we were expecting! Absolutely perfect for myself, husband and 9 month old baby... Starting with excellent communications and easy to deal with. We were welcomed by Willie the driver who greeted us at the airport and took us to the Beach House via supermarket and markets to grab a few things. Once we got to the Beach House we were welcomed and introduced to the property by Elizabeth (who lives a yacht out the front). There is nothing they have not though about - we hired the house which is set up for a couple of families if needed. It was super clean and very practical for our curious 9 month old baby. We loved the new hammock netting set up over the water to enjoy watching the tide come in....there is heaps of water sport equipment available to use and a lovely bay to checkout with the SUP/Kayaks. The Turtle Bay lodge is a 5 min walk (perfect bumpy road for putting bub to sleep in pram for dinner...) great feed, and once again a very warm welcome from the hosts. Had a great night at the lodge making some new friends over some Kava tastings. Willie arranged for a driver (as his car was unavailable at the time) to take us on a day tour up to Port Olry. I would highly recommend this with a stop at Champagne Beach and the blue hole. We even got treated to some baby free time as the Ni-vanuatu people absolutely love babies and our little girls feet barely touched the ground while we were there. The only regret is we did not stay there for our entire holiday in Vanuatu - but we will be back!!! Thanks again guys was great to meet you all..”
Bianca Gerrard - July 2017
Our party had both Dugong Cottage and the Beach House. Both were beautifully fitted out with everything you might need for a self-catered holiday and was very clean. The Beach House had a full kitchen, two bedrooms and two ensuite bathrooms as well as a lounge area. Dugong Cottage had a kitchenette and separated ensuite. There is a laundry for guest use as well as canoes, paddle boards, reef shoes and snorkelling gear. The Beach House had a TV and DVD's and there was a big box of games in the laundry for guest use. The setting is superb with our own private beach with warm water and clean sand, hammocks slung between coconuts, a private outdoor deck and eating area as well an enormous net over the water. Each cottage and the beach house had its own verandah with plenty of outdoor furniture to dine outside or to relax on. The location is about a half hour car ride from Luganville and about a 10 minute leisurely walk to Turtle Bay Lodge which has an excellent restaurant and free WiFi for customers. A taxi service to Luganville or anywhere is easily arranged via the phone kept in the laundry for contacting the caretakers or Willie the taxi driver. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay at very reasonable rates and I'd love to stay there again.
Elizabeth & Mike Maxwell June 2017
“We loved our stay in Turtle cottage. Everything you needed was there and it was nice to be able to cater for yourself and just relax in the hammock enjoying a good read. You're also only an 8 minute walk to Turtle Bay Lodge where you can enjoy a nice meal - their pizza's are lovely and a rarity to see on the island. Santo itself is a basic island in terms of food and services so expect to cater plainly. Some might find this a challenge but we loved getting to try local produce you rarely see in Aus. Plus Santo has some of the best beef I've ever had. The location of Turtle Bay Beach House is amazing. You are 30-40 mins kayak over coral reefs to two amazing blue holes. If you want to go further, Willie can organise a tour or transport. It's such a magical island - we rarely go back to the same holiday twice but would come back here again and again. ”
Helena Schulze - June 2017
What can I say? Beach at your doorstep & everything that you need to kayak or snorkel. The array of games, books & CD's was a bonus. The accommodation was exceptional, very clean & tidy & very comfortable. Beautiful outlook to wake up to every morning. We had such a great relaxing time. Liz & Matt were very helpful. All in all we had the most fantastic time. Would recommend it for a group of friends.

“We stayed at turtle bay beach house for 12 nights and had an absolute ball. This house is the perfect distance from town and other attractions such as champagne beach. It's close to three resorts with restaurants and bars or you can cook up a storm at home in the well appointed kitchen. We even had a smoothie maker provided to make the most of the amazing organic island fruits!! We had a car so found it easy and enjoyable to be in this location. There were frequent buses or transports for those without a car or a dedicated taxi driver Willy for a bit extra cost. Jublee keeps the gardens looking amazing and Liz and Matt the managers are friendly and great to deal with. The wifi is patchy right across Santo so just do yourself a favor and leave it all behind ;) I saw a turtle and dugong while using the paddle boards provided. The kayaks are also excellent and everything is provided. We'd love to return with family soon. Thanks to the owners and all staff for a wonderful holiday. ”

“A superb setting in a beautiful country. Turtle Bay Beach Resort is a wonderful place to stay with extended family. The facilities are excellent and the kayaks and water equipment are good quality. Beach towels are a bonus when travelling from afar. Willie is an amazing man who helps wherever he can. Everyone was happy and helpful and it made for a very happy family holiday. So much to do here and a wonderful experience. ”

What a brilliant family Xmas spent at TBBH.The place is awesome with all the facilities to self cater, beautifully maintained by excellent staff & everything our water loving group needed, even board games & cards for those rainy afternoons. Would highly recommend, thanks Alex & Tracy.

“We absolutely loved our stay at the Turtle Bay Beach house! It is in such a beautiful and peaceful setting that we never wanted to leave. Willie acted as our host and liaison during the stay and provided excellent service, going out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. The Beach house is in striking distance (kayak or paddle board) of a couple nice resorts but still offers the privacy of your own place. I would totally recommend staying here and can't wait to come back.”
Michael Peloquin - NOV 2016
“We absolutely loved every part of our stay at The Beach House! The pics don't actually do it justice. The outlook is pristine and the gardens immaculate with the bay literally lapping at the door step. We found our host, Tracy, to be extremely informative to the point that we were also given an update of upcoming events half way through our stay. We certainly made use of the kayak's, with trips to Oyster and Turtle Islands and the local Blue Hole. Great snorkelling was also only a short paddle away! Our personal taxi driver Willie was very friendly and helpful. We used him regulary, which worked out to be pretty good value. We also did a day of fishing with Fabrice, leaving just down the road from Lopi Lopi resort. We had a great day and Fabrice was a wonderful host, being very informative and a good guy. Also great value........We will be back. Thankyou.”

“We had the best stay at turtle beach house ! The place is wonderful and we had it all for ourselves. The bungalow is clean and spacious, the view is amazing and it was awesome to use the kayaks to go to the blue hole and oyster island. We would love to be back and highly recommend this place ! ”
Capucine Montgolfier - Sept 2016
Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Turtle Bay Beach House. What a piece of Paradise! We absolutely loved it! The property is amazing and you have paid such attention to detail. Gwenda was lovely. We met her on arrival. Willie was also very helpful and we used him as our driver on a few occasions. Thanks so much for letting us stay. I will certainly recommend it to my family and friends.
Don and Denice Whittaker - Sept 2016
“Turtle Bay Beach house was great space to enjoy our family holiday with the kids. The house is clean modern and in a beautiful location. When we were at the house, we spent most of our time paddling/kayaking in the lagoon. The kayak to Matalevu Blue Hole was a highlight. We also enjoyed kayaking to Turtle Bay Lodge and Oyster Island for meals and drinks. We made use of the resident driver - Willie, who was polite and happy to take us out to the local markets for food, and to some beautiful beaches for some great snorkelling. Great Place to stay to explore Santo. ”
Sara Jantos - Sept 2016
“The Turtle Bay Beach House property (Santo, Vanuatu) is immaculately looked after and located a short kayak ride to Oyster Island and a 45 minute ride to a beautiful blue hole. The service is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to Tracey, Liz and Willie for a lovely stay.”
Kim White July 2016
“Beautiful protected bay surrounded by reef and islands (but could still hear the ocean beyond, and with a prevailing breeze) - perfect for SUPs and kayaking (the house has great condition sea kayaks & SUPs). House was lovely, modern island-style, and the filtered drinking water was really appreciated. Also the home's mobile phone with local numbers was a nice touch, and quite a few board games. Gardens immaculately tended. Great to be able to walk to nearby resort for dinner (& wifi!), and kayak-able to Oyster Island Resort & the blue hole. Managers Liz & Matt were super-friendly and helpful, and keep everything in great condition. The two cottages are quite close to the main house, but with palms & gardens between, and the guests were very quiet, so it was no issue. It would be great to rent the whole property though. Owners Tracy & Alex were very accommodating of our special requests. Very relaxing. Highly recommended.
Richard Hamley - June 2016
The place was perfect - just as described. We had a great time. All the practicalities handled smoothly. Thanks!
Gaute Eielsen - May 2016
My husband and I stayed at Turtle Bay for two weeks, and had a wonderful time. The place was clean and had everything we needed, and we loved relaxing on the deck and kayaking, etc. Make sure you kayak to the blue hole, and snorkel at the island past the bay. A day trip to millennium caves is highly recommended! The area is not touristy, which means you can better experience local culture. The property managers, Matt and Liz, are amazing and very helpful! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Mel Trecek-King - June 2016
This was a fantastic stay and the highlight of our travels in Vanuatu. Absolutely superb location and views in such a beautiful part of Santo. The room was great and although the kitchen area seemed quite small, it had everything we needed.... The kayaks available were the best we saw anywhere - sea kayaks with rudders meant we could get out to the backs of some nearby islands and experience awesome snorkelling. Also it's very easy to kayak to a couple of the blue holes; well worth the trip. Would definetly recommend this accommodation:)
Meg McKenzie - June 2016
We had such a good stay at the Dugong cottage…we even ended up extending our stay! The house managers were great to communicate/organize with, friendly and hugely helpful with recommendations on the island. The cottage is clean, tidy, has a great view, and has all you need to prepare your own meals. Tons of great snorkeling and kayaking in the area, which kept us busy for several days. All in all, a great stay.
Dan L - Mar 2016
The last ten days at Turtle Bay Beach House turned out to be magical, far exceeding our expectations. The house is clean, comfortable…the deck is brilliant and had incredible views over the lagoon….the kayaks and paddle boards were well worth using as there are so many places to explore. I would highly recommend the house if you are looking for self catering accommodation and our family of six, with children ranging from 18 to 9, thoroughly enjoyed everything Turtle Bay Beach house had to offer.
Penny Lilford - Dec 2015
We stayed in one of the two bungalows and I can tell from having worked in 5 star hotels all over the world that The Beach House is not ordinary. From folded towels to welcome flowers the owner seems to have a fine eye for detail and nothing was spared. The cottage sits close enough to the edge of the water that you can throw your left over breakfast toast to the fish! If we get another chance to go to Vanuatu we will not bother searching around for alternatives as we don't feel the need to – the Beach House is paradise!
Haberkorn Family - Jan 2016
How great to wake up in a stunning, natural, well-built bungalow, watch your child put on his sunscreen and bolt out the door to the lagoon that's right there? It's sunny, and your child is safe, and it's quiet, and you can lie in knowing that when you wake, amazing pineapples and passionfruit and bananas await. And on those nights when we didn't want to blend our own pina coladas or cook, several nearby resorts were just a short moonlit walk or kayak paddle away.
Colette Beaudry - Jan 2016
Our stay was beyond amazing :) …there was never a time when we felt uncared for. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and precisely described. The property made us feel that we owned a paradise, with the private beach, and access to a wide range of water sports gear. We used up our days kayaking to blue holes, snorkelling through WWII wreckage, and making friends with the locals. We're already planning on coming back!
Cassandra Cox - Dec 2015
A wonderful piece of paradise, right on the waterfront with a beautiful view…The Beach House is excellently set up with all the little extras that make a stay very easy, the grounds are beautifully kept, the jetty is a great place to enjoy just sitting back on and relaxing (and we even) went snorkelling out the front and saw heaps of fish! I definitely plan to come back and stay longer…
